We believe the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally inspired Word of God, without error in the original manuscripts. We believe this inspiration extends equally and fully to all parts of the Bible and believe in its absolute authority.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal God-man who became a man (John 1:14), lived a sinless life (I Peter 2:21-22), died on a cross, was buried, and physically rose from the grave to redeem sinful humanity (Acts 4:10; Philippians 2:7-11; Luke 23:26-24:53).
We believe God exists eternally in trinity; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; II Corinthians 13:14). We believe that the trinity is co-eternal in being, co-eternal in nature, co-equal in power and glory, having the same attributes and perfections (Deuteronomy 6:4; II Corinthians 13:14).
We believe the Holy Spirit is the divine Person who convicts the world of sin and brings new life to those who are spiritually dead. He dwells in all who believe in Jesus. From the moment of belief in Jesus Christ, all believers are baptized with the Holy Spirit and thus placed into the one true Fellowship, which is the Body of Christ. The Holy Spirit seals them unto the day of redemption, bestows spiritual gifts upon them, and empowers them for service.
We believe that due to universal death through sin, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born again or saved. Salvation is only by grace through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ, and all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ through faith are declared righteous by God and thereby become children of God.
The Second coming of Jesus
We believe in the personal, physical and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to reign in power and glory. We also believe that at the moment of death, the unsaved descend to Hell where they are kept under punishment until their bodies are raised at the final judgment, after which they will suffer everlasting conscious punishment, separated from the presence of the Lord.
We believe the New Testament Church of Jesus Christ had its historical beginning at Pentecost and is comprised of all true believers in Jesus Christ and have the Holy Spirit dwelling within them. We believe that the purpose of the Church in the world is to glorify God through worship, prayer, the teaching of the Word, observance of the ordinances, the exercise of our gifts and talents, and the proclamation of the gospel both in our community and throughout the world.
We believe Water baptism is an act of obedience identifying with Jesus in death to sin, burial of the old nature, and resurrection to new life. We are baptized for the remission of our sins.
